Software for your machines, built to fit

The team behind cnc-apps.com has been writing CAD, CAM and CNC software since 1995. If your shop needs a tool that doesn’t exist yet, or an existing one adapted, we can build it.

What we build

Custom or off the shelf

Start from one of our products and have it adapted, or have something built from scratch around the way you work.

G-code generators and post-processors

Output tuned to your controller: headers, footers, M-codes, arcs, lead-ins and the quirks of your machine.

CAD/CAM and DXF processing

Drawing import and clean-up, toolpaths, conversions and parametric parts generated from dimensions.

Nesting and material optimisation

Sheet and profile nesting, cut lists and palletising that reduce scrap and setup time.

Product configurators and quoting

Let customers design a product online and turn the order straight into drawings, prices and machine files.

Integration and automation

Connect machines, ERP, web shops and spreadsheets so orders flow to production without retyping.

Web, desktop and SaaS

Windows applications, online tools like the ones on this site, or developer components for your own software.

How a project runs

  1. Tell us what you need

Your machines, your files, and what the software should do. Sample drawings and programs help a lot.

  2. Scope and quote

We reply with questions, a proposed approach and a written quote. No obligation.

  3. Build and test

You test working versions on your own parts as we go, so there are no surprises at the end.

  4. Deliver and support

Installation, handover and support, and changes later as your production evolves.

Tell us about your project

We usually reply within one or two working days.

Questions

Can you change one of your existing apps for us?

Yes. Many projects start from an app on this site or one of our desktop products, adapted to a specific machine, file format or workflow.

Which machines and controllers do you work with?

Plasma, oxy-fuel, laser, waterjet, routers, mills, edge grinders and 3D printers. Send us a sample program from your controller and we will match its dialect.

What does a custom project cost?

It depends on the scope. After we understand what you need, you get a written quote before any work starts.

Desktop, web or both?

Whichever suits your shop: Windows software that runs offline, a web tool for your team or customers, or a component inside software you already use.
